We began our journey to excellent service in 1987. Here is a brief history of our company, A-1 American.
A-1 American began on January 31, 1987. The founders built the company right after they retired from a long career with the US Navy. Being in the Navy instilled many core values and morals in our founders. One of those core values were personal and professional integrity. They then in turn took those qualities and implemented them into the the framework of A-1 American Plumbing.
Since serving our first customer, we have been helping HVAC Hampton Roads customers stay comfortable in their homes. A-1 American continues to serve each and every customer in our community with integrity, honesty, and respect. We provide excellent service in the fields of plumbing, heating  and air conditioning. I got a response within 10 minutes with the note that somebody would contact my shortly – boom, one of their associates called me, set up the appointment, got the technician out by 10:30, and took care of the problem. “I arrived home (5:00pm) after work to find my upstairs was 91 degrees. I immediately thought the worse. I knew I needed to contact someone, but I didn’t know who. I had remembered a commercial I saw on 13 News for A-1, so I decided to call them. I called around 5:30pm that day and the tech was there a little after around 6:30pm. He opened my unit and within minutes and told me exactly what was wrong. He had the part needed in his truck and immediately replaced the bad part. By 7:00pm, everything was fixed and he was off to put out more fires. Excellent Job!!!!!”
